How can I become a police officer?

We accept applications on a continual basis from individuals who hold a valid law enforcement certificate from the State of Florida, or from officers who hold a valid certificate from another state and are eligible to obtain Florida standards within 12 months. Once a need is determined an oral interview will be scheduled. After the completion of the oral interview an applicant may be selected to move onto the next phase. The next phase consists of a background investigation, computerized voice stress analysis, psychological assessment, drug screen and medical examination.
