Milton, Fla. – During a meeting of Milton’s City Council on November 7th, Milton Mayor Heather Lindsay recognized the members of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4833. The recognition was for a generous donation of flags that were given to the City in order to help improve the City’s entry signage along Caroline St. / US Highway 90 near Avalon Boulevard.
Thanks to VFW Post 4833’s donation, the City entry signage now includes an American flag as well as flags honoring the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Space Force, in addition to a flag honoring our nation’s servicemembers who were taken as prisoners of war or who are missing in action.
The City plans to add two additional flags to the display, one to honor the Coast Guard and another for the State of Florida.
