City of Milton to receive $1,000,000 in state funding for two critical projects.

Two City of Milton projects survived Governor DeSantis’ veto pen in the just signed 2021-22 state budget.  The two projects are the new Northwest Florida Regional Wastewater Reclamation Facility and the dredging of Locklin Lake.  Each project was awarded $500,000 by the state.

City Manager Randy Jorgenson praised the local delegation, specifically pointing to the efforts of Representative Jayer Williamson and Senator Doug Broxon in securing the funding.

“I wish to thank our local delegation for not only understating the importance of these two projects but also their work in getting that message all the way to the Governor”, said Jorgenson.
