BMX usage at Skate Park

The Milton City Council voted last week to commit $20,000 for the construction of a BMX dirt track and to allow BMX riders to utilize the existing skate park during certain hours. A first reading of Ordinance 1479-18, Amending Chapter 34 Code of Ordinances Article III City of Milton Skate Park, Section 34-68 Established Rules, by adding permitted use of bicycles at the Milton Skate Park during specified times. 

The first reading passed with one nay vote.

The potential changes will be to establish initial hours for bicycle use to be from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays; 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

The second reading of the ordinance will be September 11.
