Description of Duties
The Milton Benevolent Cemetery Board (MBCB) powers and duties are described as follows:
- Maintain and enhance the landscaping and appearance of the Cemetery
- Coordinate burial ceremonies and monument settings
- Coordinate opening and closing of grave sites
- Meet the needs of clients and potential clients
- Coordinate records management with the City Clerk
- Determine rules and policies relating to the operation and maintenance, as approved by the City Council
- Make recommendations to the City Council in regards to upkeep and maintenance of the Cemetery
- Sell, repurchase, or trade lots and spaces
