Elections

With the resignation of Mr. David Richardson, the Milton City Council is short one member.  As per the City Charter, the City Council has a total of 60 days to appoint a qualified individual to fill the vacated seat for the remainder of the unexpired term.  The following schedule to make the appointments will be followed:
 
 

Deadline to Apply:                 Friday, October 29, 2021, 2:00 p.m.

 

Review and Discussion:         Monday, November 1, 5:30 p.m. at the Executive Committee Meeting 

 

Appointment:                         Tuesday, November 9, 5:30 p.m. at the regular meeting of the City Council 

 

 

The seat that is available is Ward 1, Seat 1.  The appointee will fill the seat until the 2022 election.  Interested parties should confirm residency prior to applying. A map of the City’s Wards can be found at the following website:

 Completed applications and a current resume must be submitted to the City Clerk by the 2 p.m. deadline.  Late submissions will not be accepted.  The City Clerk will review all applications to determine eligibility.  Applicants will be given an opportunity to present their qualifications at the November 1, 2021, Executive Committee Meeting.  Applications are available at the link below:
