CPR / First Aid

The City of Milton Fire Department offers a community CPR, AED, and basic first aid course. These classes teach students the simple skills necessary to provide basic life support, including recognition of signs of sudden cardiac arrest, heart attack, stroke, and foreign-body obstruction, as well as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and defibrillation with an automated external defibrillator (AED). This program is intended for community members and people who do not work in the healthcare field but are required or just desire to have First Aid, CPR, and AED knowledge and skills.

Students who successfully complete the course(s) will receive certification through American Safety and Health Institute.

Classes

Combined CPR / First Aid can be taught at our training facility for community groups, church groups and businesses of up to 15 people at a time. Classes are $180 for the first six students, and $30 per person thereafter up to 15 people.

Fire Extinguisher Training

The City of Milton Fire Department offers a basic fire safety and fire extinguisher selection and use course. These are one to one and a half-hour classes teach students the simple skills necessary to understand basic fire safety, including fire prevention and preparedness, along with the selection and use of fire extinguishers. This program is intended for those in the healthcare, hospitality, and education fields, and anyone desiring to learn more about fire safety and fire extinguishers.
